As the CEO of the Koninklijke Nederlandse Lawn Tennis Bond (KNLTB), Erik Poel is in charge of the strategy of the organisation, from talent development up to the professionals to participation and organising competitions and tournaments. Despite the relative small country size, the Netherlands has a huge tennis infrastructure with 1,700 clubs, 600,000 registered and 300,000 unregistered tennis players. Erik knows how to engage the tennis player in his country and what to do for retention. Before joining the tennis federation, Erik has worked for several A-brands such as 3M, Microsoft, Tele2 and Canon.
